Beacons and horns

Beacons and audible warnings: 12 V and 24 V rotating beacons, LED beacons (magnetic and fixed mount), a beacon socket and plug, a horn and a reversing alarm. LED beacon names give the height and diameter (for example h=98 mm, D=89 mm).

Beacon 700/50114 comes in several versions that differ in body height (99 and 124 mm), so measure the old beacon before ordering. LED beacons draw less current than halogen beacons with a rotating reflector and have no bulb or motor to suffer from vibration. If a beacon flashes irregularly or does not switch on, check the socket 715/04300 and the plug 703/23201: corroded contacts are a common cause, and the two are best replaced as a pair. Horn 704/37300 is an original JCB part; the reverse alarm switches on with reverse gear and warns people on site that the machine is moving.
