Isuzu engine belts

Belts for JCB JS excavators with Isuzu engines: a matched pair (02/801499, 02/800774), 1215 and 1236 mm belts, belts 02/802236 and 02/802540, and the Isuzu 6HK fan belt. A belt is chosen by engine type (for example 6HK) and JCB number.

JCB numbers for Isuzu engine belts start with 02/80; some items come both as original and aftermarket (for example 02/802540 and the pair 02/800774). Belts that run as a pair are replaced as a set: a new belt next to an old one carries more tension and wears out sooner. When inspecting, look for cracks on the ribs, separating layers and glazed sides, and check the pulleys: a worn groove soon destroys a new belt as well. Tension is set by deflection or by the tensioner; on a new belt, check it again after the first hours of work.
