A/C compressors

Air conditioning compressors: 12 V and 24 V compressors for JCB backhoe loaders (320/08562, 320/08563, 123/04999) and models for other machines; an A/C drier. A compressor is matched by voltage, pulley type and port direction; the drier is renewed whenever the compressor is replaced.

The voltage of the compressor's magnetic clutch must match the machine: 24 V compressors (123/04999, 320/08563) do not work on 12 V machines. When the compressor is replaced, the receiver drier is replaced too, the system is flushed of debris and old oil, evacuated and charged with the refrigerant weight shown on the machine label; machines of this generation usually use R134a. A new compressor most often fails because of dirt in the system or a lack of oil, so do not skip the flushing and oil charge. Check the drive belt and pulley when fitting.
