For the JCB machines: relay 5-pin (narrow) 716/30149, an aftermarket part. The card also lists 332/C3148, 716/E0156.

This is a 5-pin narrow-body relay for the fuse and relay box of JCB machines; the product card lists it under the numbers 332/C3148, 716/E0156 and 716/30149. The fifth pin lets the relay open one circuit while closing another. A narrow relay may not fit the socket of a standard mini relay, so it is chosen by comparing its case size and pin layout with the old one. If a fault is suspected, swap it with a sound relay of the same type. The diagram on the relay case shows the pin functions: coil, common, normally open and normally closed contacts. The relay comes new. Narrow relays fit special sockets in the fuse box. The relay socket must be clean.

Fitting

Pull the relay straight out of its socket in the fuse and relay box, since rocking it can spread the socket contacts. Fit the new relay with its pin layout matching the socket and push it fully home. After the change, operate the function and check that the relay clicks and the circuit works.
