According to sources, 40/301747 is a 12 V, 20 A / 10 A, 5-pin micro relay with a resistor, used on JCB machines and described in some sources as the park brake relay. Relays with a resistor damp the voltage spike when the coil switches off, protecting the control units. The 20 A / 10 A rating is the current the normally open and normally closed contacts can carry. A faulty relay stops the connected function working or keeps it on, and it can be checked quickly by swapping it with a sound relay of the same type.
