Front differential assembly 448/36300 is an aftermarket part for the JCB 3CX and 4CX backhoe loaders. This part is the front axle differential.

Fitting

The differential is changed with the axle opened; because it affects the crown wheel and pinion setting, the work is done with measurements to the service manual. Set the differential bearing preload and the crown wheel backlash, check the contact pattern and torque and lock the crown wheel bolts. Renew the seals and gaskets and fill the axle with the specified oil type and quantity. The part comes new. Before the axle is reassembled, lubricate all parts with clean axle oil; refit the shims in their original positions or select them again by measurement.
