For the JCB Teletruk (TLT) telescopic forklifts: steering pivot pin 458/N7751, an aftermarket part. This pin is the pivot pin of a steering joint.
The pin is chosen by part number according to its diameter, length and end form. When replacing it, check the gears, bushes and bores it works with, since a new pin in a worn bore soon develops play. Small retaining parts such as spring (tension) pins are not reused once removed, but replaced with new ones. Most pins are made of hardened steel with a ground surface, so their dimensions must match those of the old pin exactly.

Compatibility
According to sources, 458/N7751 (same as 458/20409) is the 75.5 x 20 mm link pin that connects the drive motor to the power track rod ram on JCB TLT telescopic forklifts. Other parts are in Front axle.
Fitting
The pin comes new. Before fitting, lubricate it with clean axle oil or grease and slide it squarely into its bore without hammering. Renew the retaining parts (circlips, tension pins, split pins). After assembly, fill the axle with the specified oil and grease the steering pin nipples. Before fitting the pin, measure the bore diameter, and repair an oval or scored bore along with the pin change. For differential pins, also check the thrust washers and inner surfaces of the planet gears, since worn washers increase the gear clearances and make the differential noisy on turns.
