Gasket 332/C1503 JCB, aftermarket

For the JCB machines: gasket 332/C1503, an aftermarket part.

Once tightened, a gasket takes a permanent set, so a new one is fitted every time the joint is taken apart. Its material and thickness suit the joint's working conditions, and a thicker gasket or one of another material can change the alignment of the parts and the clamping force. The gasket is therefore chosen by part number.

Fitting

Before assembly, remove all traces of the old gasket without scratching the faces and check them for flatness. Lay the gasket on a dry, clean face and use sealant only if the maker specifies it. Tighten the bolts in a cross pattern to the specified torque and check the joint for leaks after the first run.
