Hydraulic accumulator SB330-32A1/112U-330A is a genuine HYDAC product for the hydraulic systems.

The HYDAC SB series are bladder accumulators: a flexible nitrogen-filled bladder sits inside a steel shell, and oil entering the space around the bladder compresses the nitrogen. The accumulator stores oil under pressure, covers short peaks in flow demand, damps pressure shocks and provides emergency energy when the pump stops. In the HYDAC code, SB stands for the bladder type, the first number for the permitted working pressure (bar) and the number after the dash for the nominal volume (litres); this accumulator is in the 330 bar, 32 litre class. If the bladder ruptures, the accumulator stops working and nitrogen can get into the oil. The precharge pressure is checked and set only with a proper charging kit and only with nitrogen. The accumulator is chosen by its number or code and its precharge pressure.

Fitting

Check the precharge at the intervals in the service schedule, since nitrogen loss gradually degrades the circuit. As a pressure vessel, a worn-out accumulator is disposed of only after its nitrogen has been safely released, without drilling the shell.
