For the JCB machines: priority valve 332/W0933, an aftermarket part.
The valve works on the load-sensing signal from the steering unit, and a blocked signal line or sticking valve spool makes the steering erratic. The body is cast iron with marked ports. With steering faults, check the oil level, filter and priority valve first. The aftermarket valve has the same port layout and connection sizes as the original. Heavy steering at low engine speed is a typical sign of a sticking priority valve spool. The valve is supplied new with its ports capped. The aftermarket valve is supplied new; check the connection seals separately. The body is cast iron, and the connection seals are renewed at fitting. The part number is marked on the body. The valve is chosen by part number and its port layout is compared with the old valve.
