HYDAC 1300 R 005 ON is a filter element for large return line filters. In the code, 1300 is the element size, R stands for a return line element and 005 for 5 micron filtration, while ON stands for Optimicron filter media. A return filter catches wear particles in the oil coming back from the system before they reach the tank, protecting the pump and the whole system. The large element keeps pressure drop low in high-flow systems. A clogged element opens the bypass valve and lets unfiltered oil into the tank, so replace it at the service interval or when the clogging indicator warns. The genuine HYDAC element fits HYDAC return filter housings exactly. The element comes new and stays in its packaging until fitting.

Fitting

Release the system pressure before changing the filter or element. Fit the new element or filter with clean seals and tighten the housing by hand; start the engine and check for leaks. When changing the element, clean the inside of the filter housing and check its seal; oil the new element's seal with clean oil and seat the element. The size and filtration rating in the code must match the old element.
