700 g battery terminal set is an aftermarket part for the construction machines. The card gives no part number. According to the product card, the set contains positive and negative terminals, chosen by the diameter of the battery posts.

Battery terminals connect the power cables to the battery posts: the starter current flows through them during cranking, and the charging current from the alternator on the way back. A poor contact in a terminal is a common reason why the starter turns slowly or only clicks although the battery is charged. A corroded or loose terminal heats up under load and the system voltage fluctuates, which affects the electronics. Brass terminals with a bolt clamp conduct current well and stand repeated tightening.

Fitting

Disconnect the negative terminal first when removing and connect it last when fitting. Do not overtighten the terminals, or the battery posts may be damaged.

JCB 3CX and 4CX wiring diagrams before and after May 2009: sheets and component keys

Section C of the JCB service manual (publication 9803/3290-15) gives the JCB 3CX and 4CX backhoe loader wiring diagram in two versions: one for machines built up to May 2009 with analogue instruments and one for machines from May 2009 with the digital instrument panel. On the earlier machines the main machine circuit takes two sheets, with separate circuits for the gearboxes and options; the later circuit runs to 15 sheets. Below are the main sheets, the component keys and a guide to reading wire numbers.
