For the JCB machines: joystick 332/X6241, a genuine JCB part. The card also lists 400/T2697.

According to sources, 332/X6241 and 400/T2697 are the right-hand (RH) joystick control of JCB machines, with 400/T2697 described as a seven-function (7 FCN) right-hand joystick. Multi-function joysticks bring the auxiliary hydraulics, gear, direction or attachment buttons and switches into one hand in addition to the lever movements. When replacing it, compare its connector and mounting position with the old joystick. The handle boot and seal keep dust and moisture out, and if they are torn the electronics can fail. The joystick comes with its connector and bracket, and its fixing bolts are tightened evenly.

Fitting

The handle boot and seal keep dust and moisture out, and a torn boot leads to button failures. The handle is chosen by part number, number of buttons and connector type. The part comes new; before fitting, compare its part number and connection type with the old part. After the change, check the function and the warnings on the instrument panel.

JCB 3CX and 4CX wiring diagrams before and after May 2009: sheets and component keys

Section C of the JCB service manual (publication 9803/3290-15) gives the JCB 3CX and 4CX backhoe loader wiring diagram in two versions: one for machines built up to May 2009 with analogue instruments and one for machines from May 2009 with the digital instrument panel. On the earlier machines the main machine circuit takes two sheets, with separate circuits for the gearboxes and options; the later circuit runs to 15 sheets. Below are the main sheets, the component keys and a guide to reading wire numbers.
