For the JCB machines: column switch 701/80296, an aftermarket part. The card also lists 701/80165, 332/Y6914.
Column switches are made to the wire colours and connector type of a particular machine's electrics, so the switch is chosen by part number and its connector pin count is compared with the old one. An unsuitable switch makes functions work wrongly or not at all. The switch is held to the column by a bracket whose bolts are tightened without overdoing it. Route the switch cable along the column so it is not stretched or pinched when the wheel turns. OEM switches come from the makers who supply switches to the machine manufacturer for original fitment. The column switch connector plugs into the harness below the steering column.

Compatibility
According to sources, this is the left-hand column switch, controlling forward/reverse selection and the horn. The catalogue also has the aftermarket version and OEM version of this part. Other parts are in Switches.
Fitting
After fitting, secure the harness with ties so it does not touch moving parts or hot surfaces, since a chafed wire loses its insulation and causes a short circuit.
