Control lever button 701/D9774 JCB, genuine

For the JCB machines: control lever button 701/D9774, a genuine JCB part. The card also lists 701/49800.

The numbers 701/D9774 and 701/49800 refer to the same button. To replace it, remove the lever handle, draw the old button's wire out through the handle and feed the new one along the same path. The wire must not be pinched when the handle is refitted or stretched as the lever moves. The button's dust boot or seal must be in place, since cab dust gets into the microswitch and makes the button stick. After the change, press the button several times to check that the function works correctly. The button connector locks into the joint at the bottom of the lever. The button comes new.

Fitting

Switch off the ignition before the change. Remove the switch from the panel by pressing the clips at the back or gently lifting its bezel, and unplug the connector without pulling the wires. Push the new switch fully onto the connector and press it into the panel until the clips lock. After the change, check every position of the switch and the related function.
