For the JCB machines: breaker button 701/71400, an aftermarket part.

This button is listed in the product card as the hydraulic breaker operating button, number 701/71400. With the breaker circuit on, the push button runs the breaker for as long as it is held down, and the breaker stops when it is released. This means the breaker works only when, and as long as, the operator wants. A worn button makes the breaker work intermittently or not at all. The button is fitted to the panel or control lever, and its wire joints must be clean and tight. The button is used often, so its contacts can wear, and its seal keeps dust and water out.

Compatibility

Fitting

Do not wipe cab switches with wet cloths or solvents, since liquid seeps inside and oxidises the contacts. The switch is chosen by part number and its pin layout compared with the old one. If the pins at the back are darkened or melted, check the harness connector too, since a faulty connector will heat the new switch as well. After the change, test the function in every position. Rocker switches are held in the panel by their side clips, and a switch with broken clips can be pushed into the panel when used.

JCB 3CX and 4CX wiring diagrams before and after May 2009: sheets and component keys
Section C of the JCB service manual (publication 9803/3290-15) gives the JCB 3CX and 4CX backhoe loader wiring diagram in two versions: one for machines built up to May 2009 with analogue instruments and one for machines from May 2009 with the digital instrument panel. On the earlier machines the main machine circuit takes two sheets, with separate circuits for the gearboxes and options; the later circuit runs to 15 sheets. Below are the main sheets, the component keys and a guide to reading wire numbers.
