Cab switch 701/E0032 is an aftermarket part for the JCB machines.

This part is a rocker switch used on the cab panel of JCB machines, listed in the product card by part number. Its function depends on the symbol on the key cap fitted to it and the machine's equipment. The body clips into the panel hole by its side clips, and the pins at the back plug into the harness connector. A worn switch makes the function cut out now and then or sticks in one position, and the switch is chosen so its pin layout matches the old one. The product card lists this switch by part number only, so its function is confirmed from the old switch's position and the symbol on its cap. The switch comes new.

Fitting

Do not wipe cab switches with wet cloths or solvents, since liquid seeps inside and oxidises the contacts. The switch is chosen by part number and its pin layout compared with the old one. If the pins at the back are darkened or melted, check the harness connector too, since a faulty connector will heat the new switch as well. After the change, test the function in every position. Rocker switches are held in the panel by their side clips, and a switch with broken clips can be pushed into the panel when used.

JCB 3CX and 4CX wiring diagrams before and after May 2009: sheets and component keys
Section C of the JCB service manual (publication 9803/3290-15) gives the JCB 3CX and 4CX backhoe loader wiring diagram in two versions: one for machines built up to May 2009 with analogue instruments and one for machines from May 2009 with the digital instrument panel. On the earlier machines the main machine circuit takes two sheets, with separate circuits for the gearboxes and options; the later circuit runs to 15 sheets. Below are the main sheets, the component keys and a guide to reading wire numbers.
