Transmission bearing 907/M3142 JCB, aftermarket, option 3

For the JCB machines: transmission bearing 907/M3142, an aftermarket part.

The bearing must match the dimensions and load ratings defined by the part number and fits directly in place of the old one. Take the bearing out of its packaging only just before fitting, do not wipe off the protective oil and keep it in a clean, dry place. A bearing that has picked up dust and moisture will be short-lived even before it starts working. Fitting

When one bearing is changed, the opposite bearing on the same shaft is checked too and they are usually replaced as a pair. Inspect the bearing seats and shaft journals for wear or signs of spinning: if a ring has spun in its seat, do not fit a new bearing until the seat is repaired. After assembly, fill the gearbox with oil, check noise and heat on a short test drive and do the first oil change early.
