For the JCB JS crawler excavators: joint pin JBV0107, an aftermarket part.

The pin is chosen by part number according to its diameter, length, head shape and locking method (bolt and plate, circlip or lock pin). On one machine the bucket, dipper, boom and cylinder pins differ in size and are not interchangeable. When a new pin is fitted, the bushes and seals are checked too, as a new pin in a worn bush soon develops play.

Fitting

Before the change, lower the attachment to the ground or support it securely, stop the engine and release the hydraulic pressure. Remove the locking element and drift the pin out with a suitable punch without damaging the eyes. After cleaning and checking the eye and bush, fit the new pin greased, refit the locking element and grease the joint until clean grease comes out.
