For the JCB 3CX and 4CX backhoe loaders: cylinder gland nut 594/14020, an aftermarket part.

The nut is removed and fitted with a special spanner, and the wrong tool damages its slots. Check the barrel threads too when replacing the nut, as worn barrel threads will not hold a new one either. This nut is the second aftermarket option for the same number, with the same thread and spanner slots. It is supplied new; before fitting, compare its thread with the barrel thread and check for burrs. The nut slots are sized for the special spanner. Check the nut locking device separately.

On JCB 3CX and 4CX backhoe loaders with a gear pump, the working pressure of the hydraulic system is limited by the main relief valve in the loader valve: 236–241 bar on machines up to serial number 964124 and 248–252 bar on machines from serial number 964125 (standard and high-pressure hydraulics).
