Inline fuel pre-filter 32/922300 is a genuine JCB part for the JCB machines. This part is an inline pre-filter fitted in the fuel line.

The fuel pre-filter (water separator) traps water and coarse particles in the fuel from the tank before the main filter. Water in diesel fuel corrodes and wears the injection pump and injectors, and the pre-filter collects it in a clear bowl or cup at the bottom of its body. The collected water is drained regularly through the drain plug. The pre-filter's job is to extend main filter life and protect the fuel system from water, and a blocked pre-filter causes loss of power and hard starting.

Fitting

Do not pre-fill the fuel filter, since fuel poured in from outside can reach the clean side. Record the date and engine hours in the service log, and collect the old filter and spilled fuel without harming the environment. After changing the pre-filter, check the water bowl and drain plug for leaks, and renew a cracked bowl, since air drawn in through the crack makes the engine hard to start.
