Starter motor 714/40531 is an OEM part made by Mahle for the JCB 3CX and 4CX backhoe loaders. The card also lists AZE4173.

Fitting

Do not run the starter for more than 10-15 seconds at a time; if the engine does not start, pause to let the starter cool. Long cranking overheats the windings and shortens starter life. After the change, check the battery charge and terminals too, since a weak battery overloads a new starter as well.
