Rear lamp, left 700/50130 JCB, aftermarket

Rear lamp, left 700/50130 is an aftermarket part for the JCB machines.

This rear lamp is for the left rear of the machine and has three sections: the photo shows red sections at top and bottom and an amber one in the middle. The red sections give the tail and brake light, the amber one the turn signal. The product card lists it as the left rear lamp, number 700/50130, and a separate lamp exists for the right side. A broken lens lets water in and corrodes the contacts. If the lamp does not work, check the fuse, bulbs and earth first.

Fitting

Bolt the lamp to its bracket without cracking the body or lens. Make the connector or wire joints clean and dry and check that the earth is secure. After reconnecting the battery, test every function of the lamp and adjust the beam direction if needed. When choosing the lamp, compare the voltage (12 V or 24 V), bulb type, side and mounting points with the old one. The body seal must be in place, otherwise condensation forms inside and the reflector soon dulls. Clean the lens with water and a soft cloth, not solvent.
