Heater matrix 30/925977 is an aftermarket part for the JCB 3CX and 4CX backhoe loaders. This is the cab heater radiator (heater matrix).

A radiator transfers the heat of the fluid passing through it (coolant, hydraulic or transmission oil) or of the air-conditioning refrigerant to the air flowing through its fins. On construction machines the radiators are usually grouped in one cooling pack: the engine radiator, oil cooler, intercooler and air-conditioning condenser. A radiator with fins clogged by dust, straw or mud cannot shed heat, so the engine or hydraulics overheat and the air conditioning stops cooling. A cracked or holed radiator loses fluid, and vibration and harsh cleaning often speed up such damage. Daily cleaning of the radiator fins is the most effective way to prevent overheating, especially when working in dust.

Fitting

Before the change, drain the relevant fluid (air-conditioning refrigerant is recovered at a qualified service). Remove the hoses and fan shroud, release the radiator from its mountings and lift it out carefully, holding it by the edges as the fins crush easily. Fit the new radiator on its anti-vibration mounts and connect the hoses with new clamps. After filling and bleeding the system, run the machine and check for leaks and working temperature.
