Transmission filter 135859/278534A1 is an aftermarket part for the backhoe loaders with Carraro axles.

The transmission filter traps wear particles and clutch lining dust in the transmission oil, protecting the gears, bearings, clutches and control valve. In Powershift gearboxes the clutches are engaged by oil pressure, so dirty oil can make the control valve spools stick and upset gear changes. The filter is changed together with the transmission oil at the maker's interval. The transmission filter's bypass valve lets oil reach the gearbox when the oil is cold or the filter is clogged, but the oil is then not filtered, so the filter is changed at the specified interval.

Fitting

Record the date and engine hours of the change in the service log.
