The knob is chosen by part number for the lever diameter and fixing style; several numbers on the card are versions of the same knob. On knobs with buttons, the wires are disconnected carefully. The knob is ergonomically shaped for the operator's hand and stops it slipping during work. If the knob has buttons, their wires are connected carefully. Fitting

Unscrew or pull the old knob off the end of the lever and clean the lever end. Screw or press the new knob on until it is fully home, using a suitable adhesive or locker if needed. After fitting, check that the knob does not turn and is firmly seated.
