Brake accumulator 332/H3679 JCB 3CX/4CX, aftermarket, option 1

Brake accumulator 332/H3679 is an aftermarket part for the JCB 3CX and 4CX backhoe loaders.

Accumulators differ in volume, pre-charge pressure, port thread and body size. An accumulator with a smaller volume or a different pre-charge may still fit, but it changes the number of brake applications available with the engine stopped and the way the warning system works. The accumulator is therefore chosen by part number, and the volume and pressure on the body label are compared with the old part. Accumulators are charged with nitrogen only, as using air or oxygen is dangerous. The port seal is renewed together with the new accumulator.

Fitting

Before removing the accumulator, stop the engine and press the pedal repeatedly to release the pressure in the brake circuit. Clean the thread, use a new seal and tighten the accumulator to the specified torque. After fitting, check for leaks and that pressure builds.
