For the JCB 3CX and 4CX backhoe loaders: 65G jaw edge 2450x20x180 123/05119, an aftermarket part. 65G is a carbon spring steel. The edge is made for 9 teeth.

The cutting edge is the thick steel plate forming the front lower edge of the bucket. On loader buckets the edge may be bolted or welded; double-sided bolt-on edges can be turned over and used a second time once one side is worn. On toothed buckets the tooth adaptors are welded to the edge. The edge is the most heavily worn structural part of the bucket, and if it is not replaced in time the bucket floor and sides start to wear. When the edge is replaced, the front of the bucket floor and the side cutter mountings are checked as well. The holes in the new edge are compared with those in the bucket.

Fitting
