65G double-sided edge 2450x20x210 990/69901 is an aftermarket part for the JCB 3CX and 4CX backhoe loaders. 65G is a carbon spring steel. The edge has 9 bolt holes and two bevels.

The thickness of the edge is measured regularly, and the edge is replaced or turned before wear reaches the bucket floor. On bolt-on edges the bolts are checked at every service and loose ones retightened. If one side of the edge wears faster, the machine is always being loaded the same way, and the working technique is worth reviewing. When the edge is replaced, the front of the bucket floor and the side cutter mountings are checked as well. The holes in the new edge are compared with those in the bucket.
