For the JCB Loadall telehandlers: trunnion bush 458/M1647, an aftermarket part. This bush is used in the trunnion mount of an oscillating axle.
Bushes come as inner and outer types and are chosen by part number; the bushes in one pivot and the pin are usually replaced together. Bush play is found by raising the machine and levering the axle, or by a knock heard at the axle mounting when the machine changes direction. Worn bushes can also let the axle strike the chassis and loosen the mounting bolts.

Fitting
For the change, raise the machine securely and support the axle. Press out the old bushes with a suitable tool and clean the bores. Press the new bushes in squarely and fully home, fit the pin and tighten the bolts to the specified torque. After assembly, grease the nipples. The bush comes new; before fitting, check that the bore is clean, free of burrs and not oval. A worn pivot pin is replaced too, since it will soon wear a new bush oval. Fit the bush so its grease grooves line up with the grease nipple hole. After assembly, check the axle's full oscillation and that it does not bind.
