Transmission bearing 907/20011 is an aftermarket part for the JCB machines.
Transmission bearings carry the input, countershaft and output shafts in the housing and pass the gear mesh forces to the case. Taper roller bearings take both radial and axial loads and usually work in opposed pairs with a set preload, while ball bearings mostly support shafts with light axial loads. A worn bearing lets the shaft run out, spoils the gear mesh and makes the seals leak; a hum or whine from the gearbox is often the first sign of bearing trouble. Bearing noise usually rises under load and at certain speeds; if it changes with road speed rather than with the gear selected, suspect the bearings on the output side.

Compatibility
According to the product card, 907/20011 is a transmission bearing. The card also lists 907/20032, 907/M3140, which are other JCB numbers for the same part. Standard bearing designation: 32208. Fit is confirmed by the part number. The catalogue also has the aftermarket version of this part. Other parts are in Transmission.
Fitting
If the bearing is fitted hot, use only an oil bath or induction heater and do not exceed the permitted temperature, as heating with an open flame spoils the hardness. Drive the outer rings into the housing with a flat mandrel. On taper bearings, measure the shaft end float with a dial gauge and set it with shims. After assembly, fill with the specified oil and check the bearing areas for heat on the first run.
