Dipper pin 811/50372 JCB 3CX/4CX, aftermarket

For the JCB 3CX and 4CX backhoe loaders: dipper pin 811/50372, an aftermarket part. According to the product card, this part is a dipper pin.

Pins are made of steel with a hardened, ground surface, which gives wear resistance under heavy shock loads. When a pin is replaced, the ovality of the eyes is measured too: if the eyes are worn, replacing only the pin and bush will not remove the play and the eyes need repairing.

Fitting

Before the change, lower the attachment to the ground or support it securely, stop the engine and release the hydraulic pressure. Remove the locking element and drift the pin out with a suitable punch without damaging the eyes. After cleaning and checking the eye and bush, fit the new pin greased, refit the locking element and grease the joint until clean grease comes out.
