For the construction machines: FUCHS RENOFLUID AW 32 hydraulic oil, 20 l, a genuine FUCHS product. AW 32 denotes an anti-wear hydraulic oil with ISO VG 32 viscosity at 40 °C. Pack: can.

Most hydraulic system failures are caused by dirty oil: dust, water and wear particles erode the fine clearances of the pump and valves. Cleanliness is therefore important when topping up: clean around the tank cap before opening it and, if possible, fill the oil with a pump through a filter. Milky, cloudy oil has been spoiled by water, and dark oil smelling burnt has been overheated; in either case the oil and filters are changed. Mixing oils of different types is not recommended. Cans and drums are stored on their side or under cover so that water cannot get in.

JCB 3CX and 4CX Hydraulic Oil: HP32 or HP46, System Capacity and Changing the Oil

For the hydraulic system of JCB 3CX and 4CX backhoe loaders, the JCB service manual recommends ISO VG32 oil — JCB Hydraulic Fluid HP32 — at air temperatures below +38 °C. The more viscous ISO VG46, JCB High Performance Hydraulic Oil, is for air temperatures above +38 °C only. Machines with Advanced EasyControl joysticks need a separate all-season HV class oil, JCB Multigrade Anti Shear. The hydraulic system holds approximately 130 litres. The oil is changed every 2000 hours and the filter at every 500-hour service.

How to Check the Oil Levels on a JCB 3CX / 4CX: Hydraulics, Engine, Gearbox and Axles
