Dipper cylinder gland nut 594/14025 is an aftermarket part for the JCB 3CX and 4CX backhoe loaders.

The cylinder gland nut screws into the barrel and holds the rod gland in place, closing the open end of the cylinder. It is removed when the seals are changed at a cylinder rebuild; a nut with damaged threads or a crack stops the gland seating properly and causes leaks. The nut size is set by the cylinder bore. The nut is steel and is supplied new. If it works loose, the gland moves in the barrel and the seals soon fail, so the nut's locking device must always be fitted. The nut size is defined by the part number.

On JCB 3CX and 4CX backhoe loaders with a gear pump, the working pressure of the hydraulic system is limited by the main relief valve in the loader valve: 236–241 bar on machines up to serial number 964124 and 248–252 bar on machines from serial number 964125 (standard and high-pressure hydraulics).
