Fuel tank, plastic (empty) 128/E5192 is a genuine JCB part for the JCB machines. According to the product card, the tank is plastic and comes empty (without sender or fittings).

The fuel tank holds the machine's fuel and is the first cleaning stage of the fuel system: sediment and water at the bottom do not reach the system because the pick-up pipe sits a little above the floor. Plastic tanks do not corrode, are lighter and avoid the rust particles that come from old metal tanks. The level sender, suction and return connections, breather and drain plug are attached to the tank. A cracked tank means fuel loss, pollution and fire risk, while dirt getting inside soon blocks the filters. When the tank is seated, check that the hoses are not kinked. The tank is positioned so that it does not rub on the frame. The tank connection seals are renewed.

Fitting

Before the change, drain the tank into a safe container and disconnect the battery negative. Mark and disconnect the hoses and sender connector and remove the retaining straps or bolts. Seat the new tank on its rubber pads and tighten the straps without overdoing it. Once connected, fill the tank with clean fuel, bleed the system and check for leaks. In the first few working days after fitting the tank, check the retaining straps again.
