Fuel tank cap 333/K5769 is an aftermarket part for the JCB machines.

When refuelling, put the cap somewhere clean and clean around the neck, and close the cap fully as soon as filling is finished. Check the cap seal at every service and replace it if cracked or hard. That the cap vent is not blocked is also shown by there being no hiss of air when the cap is opened. Signs of fuel on the cap mean the seal or vent valve has failed, and the cap is replaced. If the cap has a chain or tether, check that it is intact too. Along with the cap, check the filler neck threads or bayonet lugs.

Fitting

Check the cap at every refuelling, and replace one with an aged seal or a stiff lock without delay.
