Fuel pipe, cylinders 3-4 320/06554 is an aftermarket part for the machines with the JCB Dieselmax 444 engine. According to the product card, this is the fuel pipe for cylinders 3 and 4.

The fuel system is very sensitive to cleanliness, and dirt getting into a pipe during fitting can block an injector nozzle. The end caps of new pipes are therefore removed only just before fitting, and open connections are plugged. The pipe must sit on its fittings without strain or force, as a pipe fitted under tension will crack. If the cones on the pipe ends are crushed or scratched, the pipe will leak however tight the nut is, and it is replaced.

Fitting

Before the change, stop the engine and let the fuel system cool; on common rail systems, wait for the pressure to drop. Undo the fittings while holding them with a backup spanner. Start the new pipe by hand at both ends, then tighten the nuts to the specified torque and fit the clamps. After bleeding, run the engine and check the joints for leaks. On the first run after fitting, check the joints once more after the engine has warmed up.
