For the JCB JS crawler excavators: fuel pre-filter (water separator) 32/925869, a genuine JCB part.

The pre-filter element change interval is usually the same as the main fuel filter, but it is changed more often with poor fuel or if water collects in the bowl frequently. The element is chosen by part number so that its thread, seal diameter and water bowl fitting match the old one. When moving the water bowl to the new element, renew its O-ring and tighten the bowl by hand. On some systems a water sensor is fitted in the bowl, and its connector is carefully unplugged and refitted during the change.

Fitting

Before the change, stop the engine and clean around the filter. Remove the old filter and wipe the seal face of the filter head. Lightly lubricate the new filter's seal with clean fuel, screw the filter on by hand and, once the seal touches, tighten it by the amount the maker specifies; overtightening with a wrench crushes the seal and makes removal hard. Then bleed the fuel system with the hand primer or the method in the manual, start the engine and check for leaks. After changing the pre-filter, check the water bowl and drain plug for leaks, and renew a cracked bowl, since air drawn in through the crack makes the engine hard to start.
