Top engine gasket set AB 02/200774 is an aftermarket part for the Perkins 1004 (AA, AB) engine.

The top gasket set holds everything renewed when the head comes off: head gasket, rocker cover gasket, manifold gaskets, valve stem seals and O-rings. A failed head gasket shows as coolant loss, bubbles in the radiator, water in the oil, white smoke and overheating. The set is used for head gasket replacement and valve work. Renewing the cylinder head bolts together with the set is recommended, as they stretch permanently when tightened. With the head off, the valves, seats and injector bores can be checked at the same time. The number and type of gaskets in the set depend on the engine build code. The set is supplied new and complete. The gaskets are single-use.
