The outer sleeve and end boots keep water and dirt out. A cracked sleeve lets the cable rust and start sticking, so a damaged cable is replaced without delay. Cable length and end fittings differ between machine models. When selecting, compare the length and end fittings with the old cable. The cable has separate fixings at the cab end and the pump end. The inner cable is braided steel.
