Top engine gasket set 320/09382 JCB Dieselmax SB, aftermarket

Top engine gasket set 320/09382 is an aftermarket set for the SB version of the JCB Dieselmax 444 engine. Besides 320/09217, 320/09280 and 320/09216 the card also gives the code 7173P. The photos show all parts of the set in one pack.

The top gasket set gathers everything that is renewed when the cylinder head comes off. The photos show the head gasket, rocker cover gasket, exhaust manifold and turbocharger gaskets, valve stem seals and O-rings. A failed head gasket shows as coolant loss, bubbles in the radiator, water in the oil or oil in the coolant, white exhaust smoke and overheating. The set is used for head gasket replacement and valve work.

Compatibility

The set is listed for Dieselmax SB engines in JCB 3CX and 4CX backhoe loaders. The same number is also offered as the genuine JCB set and the OEM set. Other engine parts are in JCB Dieselmax engine.

Fitting

Before the head goes on, the block and head faces are cleaned and checked for flatness; head bolts are tightened in the JCB sequence and to JCB torque. Whether the head bolts may be reused is checked in the service manual. Coolant and engine oil are changed after assembly. For the lower engine seals the SB bottom gasket set is available separately.
