For the JCB 3CX: fan cowl (diffuser) 332/H2847, an aftermarket part.

The cowl is fixed to the radiator, and the gap between it and the fan sets cooling efficiency. The plastic body can crack at its mountings from vibration and heat; a cracked cowl does not stay put and can touch the fan blades. The cowl also closes off the spinning fan and protects hands and tools during servicing. Running for long with a broken cowl means air passes through only part of the radiator and the core clogs unevenly. The machine should not be run without the cowl, especially in summer and in heavy digging work. The cowl is plastic and fixes to the radiator at its mounting points.

JCB Dieselmax Engine in the JCB 3CX / 4CX: Builds, Technical Data and Servicing

Section K of the JCB service manual (publication 9803/3290-14) deals with the installation of the JCB Dieselmax engine in JCB 3C, 3CX and 4CX backhoe loaders. It gives the technical data for each engine build, the cold start heater electrics with their fault codes and the operation of the viscous fan coupling, together with the removal procedures for the radiator, expansion tank, fuel injection pump and the engine itself. The PDF runs to 30 pages.
