Ignition switch 701/80184 JCB, OEM UNO Minda

For the JCB machines: ignition switch 701/80184, an OEM part made by UNO Minda. The card also lists 701/Y1372.

Ignition switches differ in key type and the contact layout at the back, so the switch is chosen by part number and its rear contacts are compared with the old one. A new switch usually comes with its own keys. When replacing it, label the wires one by one and connect them to the new switch in the same order, since a wrongly connected wire can leave the starter or pre-heat running constantly. The OEM switch comes from the maker who supplies ignition switches to the machine manufacturer for original fitment. On some switches the contact block at the back can be replaced separately, but if the lock and key mechanism is worn, the whole switch is replaced. The switch must sit firmly in its panel hole and not turn with the key, since a switch that spins can tear its wires.

Fitting
