For the JCB machines: temperature sender 716/12800, an aftermarket part. The card also lists 515/26010, 2903426.
Temperature senders differ in measuring range, thread size and connector type, and since the gauge is matched to its sender's resistance curve, a different sender reads wrongly, so the sender is chosen by part number. Change a sender in the cooling system only with a cold engine, since hot coolant is under pressure and can burn. Seal the thread and tighten to the specified torque when fitting; afterwards top up the coolant and bleed the system. The sender's accuracy can be checked with a simple comparison: with the engine warm, compare the gauge reading roughly with the temperature measured near the sender with an infrared thermometer. A large difference points to a faulty sender or gauge. Some senders are single-pin and take their earth through the body; wrapping too much sealing tape on the thread of such a sender breaks the earth and leaves the gauge dead. If the wire insulation at the connector has hardened from heat, renew the wire too.

Compatibility
The product card lists it as a coolant temperature sender. Other parts are in Sensors.
Fitting
After fitting, secure the harness with ties so it does not touch moving parts or hot surfaces, since a chafed wire loses its insulation and causes a short circuit.
