For the JCB machines: work light (square) 700/50029, an aftermarket part. The card also lists 700/38800.

This square-bodied work light is listed in the product card under the numbers 700/50029 and 700/38800; the photo shows the square body with a side bracket and mounting stud. The side bracket lets the lamp angle be adjusted, so the light is directed at the work area and not along the road where it would dazzle oncoming traffic. Square work lights usually take an H3 halogen bulb. Keep the lens clean, since a muddy lens blocks most of the light.

Fitting

Bolt the lamp to its bracket without cracking the body or lens. Make the connector or wire joints clean and dry and check that the earth is secure. After reconnecting the battery, test every function of the lamp and adjust the beam direction if needed. When choosing the lamp, compare the voltage (12 V or 24 V), bulb type, side and mounting points with the old one. The body seal must be in place, otherwise condensation forms inside and the reflector soon dulls. Clean the lens with water and a soft cloth, not solvent.
