Instrument cluster (digital) 332/G6563 is an aftermarket part for the JCB 3CX and 4CX backhoe loaders.

According to sources, 332/G6563 is the instrument cluster with a digital display used on JCB backhoe loaders (3CX, 3DX, 4CX and others). It brings engine speed, hours, temperature, fuel level and warning lamps together on one panel. After replacement the new cluster may show a different hour reading, so note the old reading and the date of change in the service records. If the display mists up or some segments are missing, the cluster is replaced.

Fitting

Before the change, switch off the ignition and disconnect the battery negative. Remove the panel by undoing its frame screws and unplug its connectors by pressing their latches. Connect the new panel to the same connectors and fix it. After reconnecting the battery, switch on the ignition and check that all gauges and warning lamps light during the test and then show normal readings. The part comes new; before fitting, compare its part number, voltage and connection type with the old part. After the change, check the function and the warnings on the instrument panel; the connections must be clean, dry and tight.

JCB 3CX and 4CX wiring diagrams before and after May 2009: sheets and component keys
Section C of the JCB service manual (publication 9803/3290-15) gives the JCB 3CX and 4CX backhoe loader wiring diagram in two versions: one for machines built up to May 2009 with analogue instruments and one for machines from May 2009 with the digital instrument panel. On the earlier machines the main machine circuit takes two sheets, with separate circuits for the gearboxes and options; the later circuit runs to 15 sheets. Below are the main sheets, the component keys and a guide to reading wire numbers.
