Bulb H1 12V 55W P14.5s, aftermarket

For the lamps of JCB and other construction machines: bulb H1 12V 55W, an aftermarket part.

H1 is a single-filament 55 W halogen bulb with a P14.5s base, used in work lights and some headlamps. Halogen bulbs run very hot, and a greasy mark on the glass soon makes the bulb fail. The bulb voltage must match the machine's electrical system: a 12 V bulb blows at once on 24 V, and a 24 V bulb glows very dimly on 12 V. The bulb is chosen by its standard designation: type, voltage, wattage and base. The bulb is held by the spring clip inside the lamp.

Fitting

Before changing the bulb, switch off the circuit and let the lamp cool. Push the bulb fully into its holder, and never touch the glass of halogen bulbs with bare hands. After the change, switch the lamp on to check it works and that the lamp body seal is in place.
