For the JCB 3CX and 4CX backhoe loaders: seat swivel lock spring 814/10156, an aftermarket part. This spring is used in the seat swivel lock.

A spring that has lost force gets shorter when free, and the lock no longer clicks home positively. The other parts of the lock mechanism are checked for wear and the mechanism is kept clean. Check the seat swivel and lock before every shift. The swivel lock must latch the seat positively in both working positions; if it does not engage fully, the machine is not operated.
