This part is the warning lamp (instrument) panel of the cab of JCB machines, a 12 V instrument cluster; according to sources, 704/G3534 is the 12 V instrument cluster used on JCB wheeled loaders (3SH/4SH panel). The panel shows charging, oil pressure, engine temperature, park brake, indicators and main beam with warning lamps. A faulty panel fails to light the lamps or gives false warnings, and the operator may miss a serious fault. Check the connectors and fuses before replacing it. The excavator monitor shows engine and hydraulic status, fault codes and service reminders, and the operator selects working modes and other settings through it. A faulty monitor means warnings go unseen and some functions cannot be selected. After the panel is replaced, the machine settings may need to be entered again.

Fitting

Before the change, switch off the ignition and disconnect the battery negative. Remove the panel by undoing its frame screws and unplug its connectors by pressing their latches. Connect the new panel to the same connectors and fix it. After reconnecting the battery, switch on the ignition and check that all gauges and warning lamps light during the test and then show normal readings. The part comes new; before fitting, compare its part number, voltage and connection type with the old part. After the change, check the function and the warnings on the instrument panel; the connections must be clean, dry and tight.
