Front control lever ring, small 821/10159 is an aftermarket part for the JCB 3CX and 4CX backhoe loaders. This is the small ring for the loader control lever, marked «M» (small) on the product card.

This ring is the clamping ring or frame that holds the control lever gaiter or floor trim in place. It presses the edge of the gaiter against the floor or lever to seal it and stops the gaiter coming off as the lever moves. With a broken or missing ring the gaiter soon comes adrift and tears, letting dust into the cab. The ring is chosen by part number for the lever position (large rear or small front). A broken ring soon leads to a torn gaiter. The ring must press the gaiter edge evenly.
